Eugénie Fabriès-Lecea was awarded a Jean Monnet Chaire in “European Insolvency Law: Europe’s Challenges” (EURINS).
In order to ensure the smooth running of the internal market, the EU has developed policies for the management and anticipation of economic difficulties. These European policies on insolvency are now even more crucial in a post-Covid-19 pandemic context, where the risk of economic failure of companies in Europe is significant, and in the aftermath of Brexit, where the lines of European integration are being redrawn.
Faced with these new challenges, the “European Insolvency Law: Europe’s Challenges” Chaire is strengthening existing European studies and research not only on transnational insolvency issues, but also on the protection of workers and jobs in the event of employer insolvency.
